History

Cornerstone Chapel was started by founding pastors Jeff and Mary Jane Kolodziej in May of 1985 with 17 people at the Medina High School and led faithfully for 30 years.

With a vision for upreach (worship), inreach (discipleship), and outreach (evangelism), the church grew. In 1991 its current property on Granger Rd. was purchased and construction began on building a new church facility.

Through the years, the church continued to grow with many new families coming to Christ which led to several building expansions.

However, more importantly than the building of buildings was our mission to build people, which became Cornerstone's mantra, “we’re building people for life."

A cornerstone is a very important foundation stone, on which everything else is built. The Bible says that Jesus is our Cornerstone. Cornerstone Chapel in Medina, began being built on Christ and will continue to be built on Him. We’re thankful for our church’s history, its legacy, and the lives that are being changed for eternity.

Cornerstone Chapel is Jesus’ church. We belong to Him, and we exist to glorify Him as we look forward to our future.
